Influences
spacemen 3, six by seven, can, neu, faust, my bloody valentine, broken social scene, sparklehorse, marlena shaw, boards of canada, death in vegas, loop, boo radleys, telescopes, lush, caribou, m83, suicide, the who, t-rex, darkside, amon tobin, wagon christ, spiritualized... the list goes on...
Beautiful epic music that fills your soul with fire, shifting through the hazy drone rock of
Spacemen 3 and the velvets through to the uplifting beauty of Lush, MBV and
Swervedriver, cutting a glance in the right direction to the great moments of
shoegaze, krautrock and 90s psychedelia.
Spotlight Kid appears on the 2008 installment of the Silber Records Christmas compilation series "Winterized". Strangely enough there seems to be somewhere around zero covers of traditional Christmas tunes this time out. But it is filled with all kinds of tracks, from Norwedian Folk, shoegaze and aggressive ambient to psychedelic experimental ambient and beyond...
The Spotlight Kid track can be downloaded for free, just follow this link.....http://www.archive.org/details/silber069-winterizing

Feel free to drop us a comment or a message... it's what we live for, innit.
Mrs. Gowanus, the line between us is so fine
What makes people act the way they do?
Mrs. Gowanus, this bar will be forever ours
Why did you have to leave us so soon?
It couldn’t have been the right time
It couldn’t have been so soon
Mrs. Gowanus, the lines between us are so fine
What secrets do you hide?
What futures can you tell me?
Looking into the cup you hold
Mrs. Gowanus, are you really so old,
That you alone know,
When the truth becomes lies,
Through the passage of time?
Mrs. Gowanus, why are you singing to the stones?
Do they tell you what you need to know?
Our seats are so far away
Mrs. Gowanus, the line between us is so fine
What makes people act the way they do?
Mrs. Gowanus, are we really losing you?
