SPOTLIGHT organized in January 2001. After winning their first Sweet Adelines regional competition and placing in the Top 5 three years in a row, SPOTLIGHT was thrilled to be announced the 2006 Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions. Kendra LaPointe - Tenor lives in Lansing, Michigan with her husband and two little boys. She started her Sweet Adeline experience at the age of 12 by joining her mother's chorus which she later directed. Both of her parents have sung in top-notch quartets, her mother having won with the 1975 Quartet Champions THE FRONT OFFICE FOUR, and her father earning a Silver Medal in 1976 with THE VAGABONDS. She currently sings with them both in a mixed voice sextet called VOCAL MONTAGE. LeAnn Hazlett - Lead lives in Swanton, Ohio. She is a talented hair stylist at a fashionable salon in Toledo. LeAnn directs the perennial Region #2 Championship Spirit of Detroit Chorus who most recently placed 13th at the International Competition in Detroit. LeAnn has participated in several quartets over the years most notably SWING STREET, 1991 International Quartet Champions. Kerry Denino - Baritone lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and their two young children. Kerry comes from a Barbershop family and has extensive experience with Sweet Adelines. She joined her mother's chorus at the age of 13 and competed and earned International Top 10 honors with SUCCESS EXPRESS Quartet. Kerry’s husband, Steve, has two Silver Medals in the Barbershop Harmony Society with UPTOWN SOUND. Patti Britz - Bass has recently moved to New Jersey to become a District Sales Manager for DaimlerChrysler. Patti is the mother of three sons, a grandmother and has been an active member of the award winning Shoreline Sound Chorus for the past 15 years. Patti earned International Top 10 honors with INNOVATION quartet from Region #2 before leaving the quartet to finish her college degree. Their debut CD, "In the SPOTLIGHT" has recently been nominated "Best Barbershop Album of 2007" by the Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards.

I just want to say that you ladies were fabulous in Birmingham and it was such an honour to have you perform at our convention. Not only were your voices so good but you were all such lovely people as well. Thank you for all the tips you gave us in your education class on the sunday, I will definitely be trying the breathing through the nose thing that Kendra suggested and hope it makes hitting those high notes a little easier. Hi there, it was so great to have you perform and spend time with us at Birmingham Symphony Hall. I hope you enjoyed it all as much as we did. You were a real inspiration especially to the members of our Chorus who have been thinking of forming a Quartet. We love your CD and can't wait to hear more from you in the future!!
