   About Spottiswoode & His Enemies
Cult New York rock band fronted by a prolific English songwriter. Travels seamlessy from cabaret to gospel to pure rock and roll. "Captivating. A magical experience." (New York Post) Comparisons have been made to Tom Waits, David Bowie, Nick Cave etc... but Spotty and His Enemies are a genre unto themselves. "Undeniably a major talent. Lotsa unexpected twists and turns and lotsa soul." (Dan Reed, WXPN) MySpace Tracker

Hey there Screamin' J.-

Come listen. Inspired by Mizuta Masahide's haiku poem-

Barn's burnt down
Now
I can see the moon

...and my wife's absence on our 23rd anniversary.

Hope all is well with you. Wrangle yourself a scholarship for CharlieFest Song Camp 2008. It's a bit of apple pie you'd enjoy and we'd enjoy your company.

You have been spotted to attend a soiree of rustic proportions. Enemy number one has agreed to attend with arms akimbo after having returned from the Orient…”go east young man”.
Enemy number ? (ah hell) the one who likes to wear gowns, will attend, if you too acquiesce.
Clam bake/lobster boil in MA on 8/24….
do you have enough gusto to hear dem mollusks and crustaceans a ‘squelen?

Brother mine. How have you been? Are you in Europe right now? I forgot when you were leaving. In any case, it was great to see you in Austin. I was truly blown away with the show. Always keep the faith, and always stay true to who you are. You can't go wrong when you do. Take care and keep in touch. Cheers...

Hi, I heard your interview on NPR and fell in love with your music. I was on my way home from work, working all night I was in a pretty bad mood, and then I heard you play "In the Pouring Rain" and I felt such joy. I know that is kind of sappy. Anyway I am glad you are on Itunes.
Thanks(:
