Springintgut has been the solo project of Cellist and Drummer Andreas Otto since 2001, producing vivid, non-minimal Electronica.
These days it's a collaboration with Jan Drees on Guitar, Synths, and Chapman Stick. We are currently working on a new album (preview sketches will appear here!) and on a dedicated live-soundtrack to the silent movies "Der letzte Mann" ("The Last Laugh") and "Metropolis". We also perform a live concert featuring tracks from the last two albums. For bookings please contact booking AT pingipung DOT de, thanks.

Springintgut has been supported by STEIM (Amsterdam) developing a software instrument called "Fello 1.0" which is solely controlled by the sound input of the cello. Also, we compose theater and film scores. Our studio is in a forest near Hamburg / Germany.
The name Springintgut is a streetname in the town of Lueneburg and at the same time a blend of the German fairytale characters Springinsfeld and Tunichtgut. For those who don't happen to be familiar with this: just focus on the spring - part of the name ! That's about it.
