can a band really be a band without acknowledging how awesome the beatles were/are/always will be?

To start at the very begining............D.J. plays in band with Nelson in high school--->"Cherry Hoads". band breaks up. Tom and D.J. start making goofy acoustic guitar comedy in college at West Chester University -->"Tom and His Package/Day Old Bagels". Mike joins with djembes and bongos. writing songs gets more serious--->Springline Drive "the bongo happy wuss rock years". SLD records numerous radio station demos then finally a full CD ("Spending the Night" 2006) J-Nons becomes 4th member and guitar maestro/really good at harmonies guy. Springline Drive has a very successful fall 2006. Band goes on hiatus during winter, exit Mike. D.J. and Tom write a few songs with their new drummer, Nelson...after a few months of shows and recording a new EP in the summer of 2007 they add James as another guitar player. the new SLD begins playing shows more often throughout the summer and fall. Winter 2007/08, writing more songs, experimenting with different genres and becoming all around funny, nice, and down right sexy dudes.
