FAST MOTORCYCLES - High mountains - cameras - good friends
Music
Man, I love music. Good fast rock and roll does it for me. I've been to every Stones concert since the '70s and loved the hippy bands of the 60s, 70's and 80's. I've seen the Who, Areosmith, Led Zepplin (70s), Fleetwood Mac, Allman Brothers, Kinks, Sons of Chaplain, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Starship, Doobie Brothers, Loggins and Messina, Stevie Winwood, Steve Miller, Santana, Los Lobos, Train, Keb Moe, Roben Ford, Tina Turner, No Doubt, Seals and Crofts (70s), Black Sabath, The Eagles, Cheryl Crow, Pearl Jam, Metalica, James Taylor, Dave Mathews, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and many many more live concerts, I just can't remember. I try to always make KFOG's "Kaboom" free concerts and fireworks show.
There's so many musicians that I haven't got see live, the cost of concerts are so expensive so we really have to choose. Would love to see Neil Young, Chris Issac, Linda Ronstadt, Sir Paul Mc Cartney, I'll add to this list when i have more time.
Movies
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, The Graduate, Independence Day, Top Gun, Easy Rider, OK, those are all old movies. Deb and I have netflix so we watch tons of movies every week. I'll have to read our list of movies that we have rented to update this column.
Television
Guess I watch the news a lot. I'm always looking for documentaries on Discovery and History. I love The Animal Planet channel and am always looking for racing on Sundays. My friend tapes all of the motorcycle roadraces from The Speed Channel (we don't have it) so we get to watch Moto GP from Europe and Asia. Guess I don't watch any series regularly but I try to catch Dr Phil.
Books
The last book I read was written by Kurt Vonnegut, can't remember the title. I mostly read photo and motorcycle racing magazines. I find myself reading camera manuals and lots of data on the internet.
Heroes
My wife Deb who always stands up for what she believes and truth is her life.
Laura Beth Wong for following her heart which meant loosing her family.

....Now and then People invite me to church or ask how I worship god?... When young I was a rebelious young man. My hair was long, and I pushed the envelope in many directions, some highly illegal. SO my answer was: "I talk to God on the top of high mountains or at 100+ MPH on my motorcycle"
Really I'm a couch potato and watch tons more TV than I should admit. But when the time is right I'll work on an adventure of a lifetime and I have had many. Everyone should get off their rears at least once a year for an adventure. By pushing my comfort zone I become comfortable where others fear.
The one thing that I will always be, a photographer. I knew it from the first back pack trip in the Trinity Alps in '75. Had to record and share the awesome mountain scenes with friends and relatives. Through the years I've used Hasselblad, Pentax, Olympus, Minolta, Nikon, Rollie, Fuji and some 4x5 cameras. We currently use all Canon Pro Digital cameras. We have a 5D, 20D, S5 IS and SD 800 IS. We photograph anything from ebay products to full blown studio product photography to portraits and weddings...lots of weddings.
Kaitlyn Sierra is my daughter, 23. She shares many of my interests and many of her own. I'm very proud of her. I co signed for her apartment when she was 17, her mother and I raised her to be independant and confident...maybe too confident. She recently earned her AA in Santa Rosa where she also held down a full time job at a Holiday Inn. She has now graduated with her BA from Notre Dame in Belmont, 08. Also scored a good paying job at a sheet metal trade school in San Jose. She has a very nice boy friend named Aris, he treats her very well and we're happy for the both of them. They just moved into a new apartment in Foster City...together. I love my daughter and she will always be my little girl.
When I was 7 my family moved to Pacifica from SF. It was just in time because I was learning to defend my self on the streets. There's nothing worse than a 7 year old with a fighting attitude. I met a sweet little girl in my new school, her name was Deborah Hagler. I really liked her and she actually like me. At 10 my family upped and moved away to the south side of town. 38 years later in life we reunited and found that our love as children was real. We are now inseperable and deeply in love. Deb is my companion and the Love of my life forever.
Climb High and enjoy the view!!
Who I'd like to meet: Paul McCartney - Ringo Starr - Pete Townshend - Sir Edmond Hillary - Kevin Schwantz - Mick Doohan - Valentio Rossi - Nicky Hayden - Bill Clinton - Jimmy Carter - Christopher Walken - Joe Montana - Steve Young - Ken Stabler - Suzanne Vega
I like to look at this and remember that we did have good times. We are estranged from Martha and her girls. Since the death of her husband Steve Crombie life was never the same and she decided to stay away. This was the last of the happy times. Yeah we had a lot of laughs (and tears too) in our house. My dad ran for congress a million times and one never left the house without pamphlets about the issues of the day. I never brought any guys home. When i was learning to write i was way ahead because of the letters in my name.LOL And i was forever known as Gail K. SO you were not alone in avoiding spelling it. ANd what did I do... I married a Santomango! Easier to spell but just as long. LOL
ah what a good friend you are. But as they say looks can be deceiving. LOL...if only we felt like teenagers. And I know I did block the tree didnt I. we get it every year from OSH and the same guy James is there. A really funny guy who sings christmas carols!! We look forward to seeing him every year. Next year I promise not to block the tree. LOL
Yep he does but we havent seen Scott since. A very nice man. Tim lucked out. He was a fireman for Woodside until he had an accident on the job. We visited his house and he is a very talented artist and you would love his cars. He built an old woodie. He totally redid the wood himself on it and it is beautiful. He is also a surfer and drives it when he goes surfing. LOL...He is a very nice guy.
Ah if only that was true. He tried it just the one time and said that was it. He really was very good and I think his teacher was disappointed that he didnt try out again. He much rather preferred the backstage tech group.Which is a good thing. When he tried out I secretly went YES!! He was also very good at set design and construction. Why he didnt pursue it is a mystery. He said he didnt think he could get a job doing it. He said it was just a fun thing. Wish he would give it a try again. But we will see.
I like this photo too. One of my fave, And no kidding aside....we are hoping he does get a better job,. Right now he is working under the table at a used dvd store in RWC. He needs a real job. Hopefully it will come next!
hey Mike, thanks for watching our video and commenting about your response to it. Hope you get back to the front of the stage to share some passion with us soon. WE are in the studio and won't have any shows coming soon.
Hey Mike thanks for the comments. I surely will stop by, we are looking to go down there some time soon. I'll let you know when we do. Hope all is well.
Hey Mike! Hope all is well with you. I was wondering if I could employ your services. I got my diploma in the mail and I would like to have it framed so I don't get pasta sauce on it or something :)
Are you kidding, I just figured out how to change the background on my page. It pays to read the directions. Youth is wasted on the young!! Nice to hear from you again too.
