I love lots of things - especially if it is social and involves meeting people. This probably stems from working mostly on my own 40 hours a week - I crave people contact and am addicted to communicating via the internet. I love going out dancing with my friends - my favourite place is Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, but I can have fun anywhere. I particularly love the Wickham and clubs like it - I feel really comfortable there and always meet lovely new people. I love creative things, like beading, sewing (only if I can wear what I sew though) and do other things like mosaic from time to time too. Sometimes I just love to sit and read (and eat - I adore food), or watch a movie. I love the gym, not least because there's always someone to flirt with. Fortunately, my gym is quite social. You would think, living at Noosa, that I love the beach, but I can't remember the last time I went. I do like fishing though, in our motor boat - very relaxing.Music
I love house music - anything I can dance to, but it MUST have plenty of vocals. I'm not one for hardcore dance music with no lyrics - how do you sing along and act the fool to that? Much to my bf's bemusement, I'm really enjoying a lot of those Remix Heaven songs that have been around lately, like Call On Me, Out Of Touch etc. I also love songs like "Flaunt It" - anything of that ilk will get me moving in a flash. One of my favourite things is to have the music nice and loud while I'm driving, so I can sing (badly) at the top of my voice. So cathartic. I used to be a real Triple J girl, but the music-snobbery really got to me, and I seem to have done a complete about face. Funny how people's tastes change.Movies
I enjoy most genres, excluding horror, musicals (what's with the random breaking in to song? Who does that?) and cheesy slapstick comedy. And I abhor National Lampoon. I love the James Bond movies (especially the early ones), chick flicks and thrillers. I loved The Bourne Identity and Supremacy. I'm pretty easy to please, really, just don't force me to watch movies like American Pie and tawdry American college kid movies.Television
Ok I have to start by saying I loathe Reality TV. It bites. My favourite TV genre of all time is British comedy in the vein of Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers, Bless This House, Love Thy Neighbour, Man About The House, Yes Minister/Prime Minister, The Thin Blue Line, Birds Of A Feather - oh, too many to mention, but you get the idea! Also: Hogan's Heroes, Hawaii 5-0, The A-Team, Degrassi High - they just don't make 'em like they used to! Posh Nosh cracks me up. Club V is good for when I'm doing the housework. Love Sex and the City, but have only seen a few episodes so far (way behind the times!) And Neighbours - I can't help but watch it, even when I think it's ridiculous.Books
I used to read a lot of "chick lit" but it got too same ol', so now I love thrillers/suspense, adventure, mystery, spy books, books like the Da Vinci Code, medical thrillers, forensic thrillers like the Lincoln Rhyme series - anything in that vein. I could never sit down and read a non-fiction book, and I'm not that into auto/biographies.Heroes
My parents are my heroes (awww!) - they are the strongest people and are great examples of how a parent should be. I don't tend to elevate people to hero status unless I know them.
