Spüknof are a three-piece rock band from Lynchburg, Va, consisting of singer, songwriter, and lead guitarist Mark Carey, bassist David Shelton, and drummer Jamie Bates.
During their first year of entertaining the crowds in and around their hometown, Spüknof were featured in an article in The Burg, and have won two band contests – the first one benefiting the Crisis Line of Central Virginia in January '08, and most recently Sweet Briar College's Battle of the Bands in March '08, which has landed them daily plays on WNRS. Spüknof are now also played on WNRN's Localmotive show.
After shooting a music video for “Going Nowhere” with the Lynchburg-based film production company Fanproductions (now Broken Fan Media) in May '08, Spüknof continue to make a name for themselves in and out of state. The band is currently completing a full-length album at The Recording Zone, and will soon be filming another video with Broken Fan Media.
