Experimental film/music video for 'Sara Pain' 2007 music: Kompleksi (Finland) Directed, produced & edited by Spul Films Australia. 5 mins, 11 secs
Kompleksi 'Sara Pain' (2007)
is an independent production company run by 1 person: Tina Ulevik, a dual Finn/Australian born citizen to a Norwegian father and a Swedish speaking Finnish mother and run on a threadbare shoestring producing experimental films since the 1990's and music videos (with a hopefully experimental edge) since 2007.
June 17th 2008 Update. "China Life", a new short experimental film-accompanied by beautiful melancholic & soul inspiring electronic music composed by Since November-hailing from Finland-is now released, online here & in YouTube: www.youtube.com/spulfilms,
and hopefully soon to film festivals.
In Finland, in October/08, I filmed Kompleksi's debut gig in Helsinki. Follow the links to see the clips. Copy/paste this: www.phinnweb.blogspot.com/2008/10/kompleksis-debut-gig-youtube.html And can click the next: www.youtube.com/phinnweb
'Sara Pain' is a music video (my first) that I made for Kompleksi in 2007. The video can be seen here on this site, also in YouTube & Kompleksi's MySpace site. The song is dark, moody electro. Hopefully in 2009 another music video will be made for this interesting band!
June 2009 Update. Unfortunately no 'China Life' festivals screenings yet. :( But hopefully sometime soon someone out there in festival land will love it. Please, the film needs love!
Mid June 2009 Update. Now based in interesting Finland-a country I have visited 5 times previously, but have never lived in before.
Sep 2009 Update.
Now based in Tampere, 173kms north of Helsinki, Finland. Life is good! But still 'China Life' needs a screening, future films need to be made, and I need an income!

Entries are now open for the 2010 Angry Film Festival. For more details go to www.angryproductions.org and download an entry form. There is an early bird deadline until the end of November 2009 for all Australian entries of $15.
After November it will go up to $25. The only criteria is that films must be under 15 minutes.
The festival will run over two nights. One night will be dedicated to Australian short films and the second night will be dedicated to International short films.
About the Angry Film Festival...
"It is funny to think that this all started so that I could screen my first film THE ANGRY PENGUIN in front of an audience. This small film festival has now become an institution in the heart of Melbourne and is a great support to film makers who are trying to get their stuff screened in front of an audience. Not just an internet audience, but an audience that will be there in person so that the film maker can view first hand the reaction that his film will have in front of a crowd." Tom Vogel
...In the ways there are no goodbyes (Daily of trip).
In september of 1992 I traveled throught Denmark from Copenhague to Skagen. In Roskilde city by chance I saw for the first time this video in one exposition about Yoko Ono. The last spring seventeen years later taking a walk by the streets of Madrid I saw this.
