About me:
is an independent production company run by 1 person: Tina Ulevik, a dual Finn/Australian born citizen to a Norwegian father and a Swedish speaking Finnish mother and run on a threadbare shoestring producing experimental films since the 1990's and music videos (with a hopefully experimental edge) since 2007.
June 17th 2008 Update.
"China Life", a new short experimental film-accompanied by beautiful melancholic & soul inspiring electronic music composed by Since November-hailing from Finland-is now released, online here & in YouTube: www.youtube.com/spulfilms, and hopefully soon to film festivals.
In Finland, in October/08, I filmed Kompleksi's debut gig in Helsinki. www.youtube.com/phinnweb
'Sara Pain' is a music video I made for Kompleksi in 2007. The video can be seen here on this site, also in YouTube & Kompleksi's MySpace site. The song is dark, moody electro.
June 2009-relocated to Finland.
Now Based in Tampere, Finland, since July 09, Finland where I live with my Finnish fiance.
March 2011
Experimenting with animation techniques, getting into documentary filmmaking, & need to improve my Finnish. Sending 'China Life' to festivals-hope for a premiere screening soon.
Started a film blog in Feb 2011: littlemovieblog(dot)blogspot(dot)com [Can't have a proper clickable link here sorry-Myspace think's it's a bad site. :( ] (Reviews about films I'm watching: old, new & not so new.)

'China Life' was filmed on location in Suzhou & Shanghai, China and is accompanied by music from the Finnish band Since November
(www.myspace.com/Since November) who produced a special version of their song "Empty Shuttle" exclusively for the film. The film explores glimpses of China seen through the eyes of a foreign traveller evoking the surreal landscapes of ancient & modern China and also acts as a metaphor for searching & belonging.

This second installment of the Detour series invites the viewer to revisit the perceptual experiment conducted in Detour 1 only instead of presenting the images in a rapid succession, here they are slowly fragmented almost like a puzzle occasionally coming together to form complete images.
AND: The first of 3 mind-blowing videos by Neil Chamberlain to support the album.

A performance experiment consisting of nearly 3 hours of home video footage arranged in an edit timeline and manually scrubbed at high speed in an attempt to generate random sensory impressions similar to memory fragments within the viewer's mind from which a personal subliminal narrative can be derived, similar to that of a recovering amnesia patient.
