Formed in 1977 by 4 schoolmates in Rayleigh, Essex, UK.
Played Basildon/Southend area for 'bout 2 years. Band splintered after that and many infamous bands came after including Sickies, School Bullies & one former member ended up in The Cure.
30 years on, 2007, The Spurts reformed to play the Southend Punk Reunion gig and had so much fun, they've kept going – now writing and recording new tracks as well as original tunes from 1977.
