The Great Depression Celebration Part 1:"We're Doomed" After touring the US in two different vans, three transmissions, several blown tires, through a few hail storms and heat waves with no AC, adding a keyboard player, and ruining thier credit scores to play music... Sputnik Monroe swept up the scattered pieces of thier lives to make "We're Doomed". It's a 30 minute EP of a two part LP called "The Great Depression Celebration". Through the recording of part one, the band has been hit with streaks of bad luck. Josh Latham(engineer) lost his appendix, and later was diagnosed with a severe intestine disease landing him in bed for weeks at a time. He had to move to Boston to get family health care, leaving most of the mixing to be done over the phone and on the internet. Add a few common colds, broken gear, moving recording spots to five different locations, brushes with the law...and you have "We're Doomed", part one of The Great Depression Celebration.

It's available on iTunes for download now. There were only a handful of CD's made in order to cut down on unecessarry waste. You can get a preview of some of the album here.

"This is not a band....nor a movement....we are just moments in our own time. Hope you can enjoy and understand these moments." - Sputnik Monroe
