Welcome to Spyfox’s music box, a journey into the heart of pop music where past and present cheerfully jumble together. Fasten your seat belt! This album has been shaken like a magnum of champagne ready to explode.
‘Monsters’ is an exulting bottle of effervescent pop that sparkles with bursts of joy, drags you into erotic dreams or even sweaty nightmares, shatters your heart into pieces and then tears you up with powerful riffs.
Influenced by Neil Hannon’s dandyism and Radiohead’s devastating harmonies, the Fox also learned a lot while listening to the Beatles. This graphic designer who never forgot that music was his first love, had experiences in various bands before creating Spyfox. Spyfox, more a concept than a band. Strings, brass, unbridled saxophone, grandiose piano, cello, ukulele, fuzz bass, spanish guitar, glockenspiel, tablas and other funny noises mix and match in this flexible entity. Spyfox squeezes the very juice of pop music, adds a sprinkling of electronic spirit to the melodies, while never forgetting to go a bit crazy and certainly never bending to the rules of trend.
High-pitched, soft and then sharply crystal-clear, Spyfox’s voice is the unifying thread of this almost schizophrenic universe. While the music is somehow a tribute to his pop masters, the lyrics reflect a complex personality: anxiety hidden behind a curtain of nonchalance. Childhood has also its share in these roundabout and playfully-shaped pieces. Childhood memories, fatherhood, and fascination for his inner freaks give this first album its youthful energy without hiding the darkest sides of an artist on the edge of maturity.

Cet hiver ils sont sortis en nombres dans la neige, en quête de nourriture. Alors je les ai "spy"és, hehe. Tu fais quoi ces temps-ci, pas de Paris ? J'y suis revenue depuis l'Océan indien pour un mois, mais je repars en juillet vers le Canada..
Ben écoute ça peut aller...fatigue+genre rhume mais bon^^...hâte de partir sur Paris le 25 au soir :)! Voilà quoi...et pour la vidéo de la soirée, tu ne compte pas l'a mettre? BiSou
