This graphic designer who never forgot that music was his first love, had experiences in various bands before creating Spyfox. Spyfox, more a concept than a band. Strings, brass, unbridled saxophone, grandiose piano, cello, ukulele, fuzz bass, spanish guitar, glockenspiel, tablas and other funny noises mix and match in this flexible entity. Spyfox squeezes the very juice of pop music, adds a sprinkling of electronic spirit to the melodies, while never forgetting to go a bit crazy and certainly never bending to the rules of trend... ..High-pitched, soft and then sharply crystal-clear, Spyfox's voice is the unifying thread of this almost schizophrenic universe. While the music is somehow a tribute to his pop masters, the lyrics reflect a complex personality: anxiety hidden behind a curtain of nonchalance. Childhood has also its share in these roundabout and playfully-shaped pieces. Childhood memories, fatherhood, and fascination for his inner freaks give this first album its youthful energy without hiding the darkest sides of an artist on the edge of maturity... ..
