Let me tell you being a Goddess is not all it’s cracked up to be. First of all, you’d think a Goddess wouldn’t have hair issues, right? Wrong! And hello! If I’m really some goddess reincarnated could I please have better skin? As if.
Don’t even get me started on the whole arch-nemesis thing either. You see every hero has to have a villain and when it comes to villains, well I hit the jackpot. That’s right. I’m talking about Dr. Dorkenstein himself, Simon Blankenship. Oh well, at least he’s consistent. Consistently crazy! He still thinks that he’s Mithras reincarnated and that I’m Etherea the Goddess of Light reborn. And really all he can think about is putting my lights out permanently! At least it keeps things from getting too boring.
Not that there’s ever a dull moment at Blackthorn Academy mind you. The classes are still hard, the Tae Kwon Do is still intense and I do not under any circumstances have a crush on Alex Scott. No way. I’m almost 100%, reasonably sure. He’s so totally not my type. Not in the least. And besides he’s the boyfriend of my best friend. And to have a crush on him would just be wrong.
Wouldn’t it?
(Gotta go now, but I overheard Brent talking to Alex, who didn’t think I was paying attention because I had just chipped a nail, that Mr. Kim wants to get our story out to the world so that everyone can keep an eye out for Simon Blankenship. He told Brent, who told Alex, that he had released our confidential case files to HarperCollins & TokyoPop and they intend to publish our cases in a series of shojo manga! The first one is called SPY GODDESS 1: The Chase for The Chalice! SPY GODDESS! That’s me! Pretty cool, eh? So watch this space for more information and when I eavesdrop...on...err...I mean overhear Mr. Kim give out all the details, you’ll be the first to know!)
