Square One

Bio:

Square One was formed circa 2005 in Pittsburg, California by Mark Ventrice. The band name came from a series of personnel changes over the years that had surviving members saying, "Here we go again starting at square one". With that said, the band name became the inside joke among band members and friends. The band is currently made up of seasoned musicians from all over the San Francisco East Bay. Our goal is to keep the party going and keep our audience on the dance floor rockin' out to their favorite high energy songs. You'll hear the songs that everyone knows and loves and maybe a few that you didn't expect as we strive to deliver quality performances night after night. The live samples on this page are just audio recordings captured from a camcorder so you'll have to trust that our true live sound is not accurately represented by these samples. Square One draws its sound from an eclectic mix of influences venturing into the territory of classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, blues, country, jazz, R&B, soul/funk, and pop.
