Squid Ate Lucy Have changed their name to AUTOHYPE, please follow this link to their new myspace: www.myspace.com/autohypeuk!
Squid Ate Lucy was formed in early October 2005 when Shaun met Martin and then both met Oli, they played together for just over a year writing music and practicing alongside other people until they met up with Seb and Ed in late October 2006.
Before Seb and Ed arrived the band had managed to build up a catalogue of tracks, some of which are still being played (including Shadows, Personal Nemesis and Breach).
From then on the band began to work furiously writing new material and tightening what they allready had. On 2nd of December 2006 the band played their first ever gig in Digby Hall Bar and from then on they havent stopped, gigging all over the Leicester area, playing venues such as The Shed and The Charlotte.
In late February, the band went into a studio for the first time professionally recording four of their songs, which are available to stream on this page and will be on sale as soon as possible.
Check the gig listings on this page and come and check them out! You wont regret it!

To be honest, the ones you mentioned are the best, I personally like Adelphi. Yeah it's probably better to start abit smaller even though Welly is a good venue. I hope you do get up here sometime even if it is after summer.
