  • Bio

SQU!L is back with some new music: ------------------------------------------------ For the album "THEY LOOK LIKE HUMANS" SQU!L teamed up with japanese producer kAbLeHeAd. The two met each other on myspace and were surprised that they had a quite similar style of making sounds and beats. ------------ First they accused each other of biting and stealing. They were so upset that they contacted myspace about it. Myspace decided to delete both artist-accounts. ------------ After that SQU!L and kAbLeHeAd became friends and started to work together. Sitting in the studio for endless days and nights, developing what they thought was a new style of creating music. ------------ When they finally came out of their cave again the whole world had moved on. The music they had created sounded old compared to what was going on in the electronic music-scene. ------------ SQU!L and kAbLeHeAd felt like aliens. Stupid aliens. ------------ But they still looked like humans. ------------ And they still wanted to show the world what they had worked on. Even though the world probably wouldn't care too much about two aliens making breakbeat-style music. ------------ Anyway. ------------------------------------------------ Here it is: THEY LOOK LIKE HUMANS ------------------------------------------------ An album full of analog dirt and digital breaks. It's a split-album. The first half is all SQU!L-music and the second half is produced by kAbLeHeAd. ------------ First they wanted to make all songs together but after some arguments and heavy fights they decided to do a split-abum. Somehow they managed to finish one song together. It's the last one on the album. During the mixdown of the song both of them worked their effect-machines live while looking over their shoulders and hating on the other ones style of making sounds and breaks. ------------ Probably they won't do another album together again. ------------ But who knows...
