“The New Ascesis, weather practiced by anorexic health-cranks, thin-lipped police sociologists, downtown straight-edge nihilists, cornpone fascist baptists, socialist torpedoes, drug-free Republicans...in every case the motive force is the same: resentment." -Hakim Bey

"You must realize that each man has a definite repertoire of roles which he plays in ordinary circumstances ... but put him into even only slightly different circumstances and he is unable to find a suitable role and for a short time he becomes himself." -Gurdjieff
wierd... i watched that video a few days ago but forgot how i came accross it lol anywho it definitly stood out to me in a good way... here's another one to toss back at you- it's not actually a video but i think you'll appreciate it anyways
I got a job... and just found a place to live in brooklyn. Giant warehouse space.. 16ft ceilings just asking for tire-swings and hammocks... sleeping on the floor right now killing time before another day at the office.
I wouldn't say ALL charity, my cynical little friend. And of course Alanis and are chums. We go WAY back... 7th grade, Hershey Pennsylvania, bored out of our minds in some random outlet with a music store... and there it began. Remember her concert? Amazing! Anyway, I'm glad to hear you will be having an adventurous summer... I continue to live vicariously through you. Alex and I are doing well. He is picking up on the funniest things... recently he has taken a liking to Avril Lavigne and sings "Hey hey you you I don't like your girlfriend! No no no no think you need an un one!" I'm also attempting to teach him French. Well off to school. Keep in touch!
Rumor on the street is that you are thinking about joining the Peace Corps. Is this true? Geez, you're already the golden child, you don't gotta rub it in. ;p
Heh heh heh... it's nice to see the warning has hit the interweb... protect you toesies my pretties... no one is safe from this doberman pinscher... TOE GRAB!!!!!
Hey Chad...Sorry I missed your show. I was at a Wildlife Society Conference in Redding. We enjoyed such music by a "Gunshy"-a man who sings oldies and doesn't play the guitar but "plays" the guitar to some background oldies.
so how fares the hunt for summer thrills and chills? Redfish is promising for myself, would be nice to travel home on the weekends for braodway runs and downtown hellraising! Keep me posted.

finally getting that new gig as a organic vegetable warehouse laborer. 50% increase in salary from where i am now, and i'll get to handle carrots and apples instead of razorblades and muriatic acid. sweeeeeet.
two french girls got arrested in SF on new year's day for mushrooms and are facing deportion, so my neighbor is putting together a show/art auction to help spring 'em...
she asked if i had any art to donate; i told her i was made of art. long story short, they're auctioning off a date with me for a most altruistic cause...
