About me: Sri Lanka Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in April 2003. Its head office is in Los Angeles, California. The main focus of the Foundation is to promote Sri Lankan culture in the United States and globally. In addition, an annual Awards ceremony is held to render due recognition to the members of the Sri Lankan expatriate community who make a difference in the world. This annual event has brought recognition and prestige to deserving individuals within the community in all fields of human discipline.
Our annual event calendar continues to expand each year with the increase in demand for cultural shows, musical presentations and art exhibitions which provide a stage for the unknown Sri Lankan artist as well as for the professional talent. The search for exceptional achievers at a global level has brought to light the talents and skills of Sri Lankans who can be placed on par with the best in the world in many spheres of professional pursuits. The monthly news magazine which reaches Sri Lankan expatriates globally carries pictorial accounts of community events in addition to news, views and opinions of many contributors.
