Sri Lanka Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, established in April 2003. The main focus of Sri Lanka Foundation is to help Sri Lankan communities worldwide and to share with people internationally the cultural, artistic, philosophical, and technical attributes of Sri Lanka.
The two largest annual events hosted by Sri Lanka Foundation include an Awards Ceremony and Sri Lanka Day Expo.
Sri Lanka Day Expo is an annual all-day event held in Santa Monica, California which showcase Sri Lankan musicians, dancers, food, and businesses to the larger American public. The expo attracts nearly seven thousand Sri Lankans from around the world and more than fifty thousand Americans to experience Sri Lankan culture. A large part of this exciting event involves the annual Beauty Pageant, and is a popular event for the Sri Lankan community to showcase Sri Lankan ethnic beauty to the American mainstream. Winners of this pageant receive an all-expense paid trip to Sri Lanka for two weeks.
The prestigious Awards Ceremony is held to render due recognition to members of the Sri Lankan expatriate community who make a difference in the world. This annual event has brought recognition and prestige to deserving individuals within the community in all fields of human discipline.
Our FREE monthly news magazine, which reaches Sri Lankan expatriates worldwide, carries pictorial accounts of community events in addition to news, views, and opinions of many contributors.
Our annual event calendar continues to expand each year with the increase in demand for cultural shows, musical presentations, and art exhibitions which provide a stage for the undiscovered Sri Lankan artist as well as for professional talent. The search for exceptional achievers at a global level has brought to light the talents and skills of Sri Lankans who can be placed on par with the best in the world in many spheres of professional pursuits.
Who I'd like to meet: If you're Sri Lankan from any part of the world, come join us and be a part of the biggest Sri Lankan network for Sri Lankan kids and young professionals everywhere, including Sri Lanka.

Hi,
Thanks for finding my music!
Sorry it took me so long to accept your friend request. I have been working hard on my album which I'm hoping will be on iTunes soon (let's keep our fingers crossed)! The best way to stay in touch is to email me directly through www.sheenamelwani.com so I get your message immediately in my inbox. Otherwise, drop me a line on MySpace and tell me a little about you. I'm also playing on Twitter a lot these days, so if you're a fellow "Tweeter" add @SheenaMelwani
