I'm a high school history teacher in the northern panhandle of WV (John Marshall High School) and a Christian songwriter. I've set up this site for my family, friends, neighbors and co-writers, but an occasional student wanders on and "befriends" me.
I'm married to a wonderful husband who is a retired high school history teacher and we live here with our golden retriever, black mutt, stray cat, and pound cat. Life is good.
Here's some family pictures as well as one of a group of co-workers I had the privilege of working with. Most of them retired in recent years (they were all hired at the same time back in the early 70's) so we've got a virtually all new social studies staff at JM as we gear up for another 30 years of quality service! I get to bridge the gap.
The videos below are of my senior year in JMHS band, a fairly recent JMHS choral concert presentation of a song I wrote, and a song I did for Father's Day for my Dad.
Mrs. Jones, I miss you. :( Summer has been so boring. I would have much rather of had class all through it, honestly. I move into my dorm at West Liberty the 21st and I seriously CAN NOT wait! I am summer orientaion now and they showed us how to do WINS and what not, but I already knew. Our instructor guy told us we could get on myspace or whatever so that is what I am doing. Classes aren't going to be the same without you. Maybe I will come visit sometime.
Hi Susan...Thank you for thinking of my Mom. She is home now taking it easy. Her surgery went well and the doctor said her stint was functioning as it should. Next they are going to look into her Gallbladder, maybe that is the culprit. Hope to see you soon! Love Ya (:
I was just thinking, you should consider writing a book. History: A decade in a sentance. .. Or something equally as witty, but coming from the mind of MARK, or someone. :]
Yesterday, in my Soc class at OU-E, Professor Galbreath was talking about Hull House, and everyone was giving him the "trout look". When he suddenly asked, "Does anyone know what I'm talking about?" I then blurted out a long ramble about Jane Adams. Needless to say he was very impressed, and now I'm one of his favourite students. LOL. So I wanted to thank YOU for that. :D
hi mrs. jones its me arile... im at west liberty now... i see that your profile says you went here thats cool... i never knew that... i miss jm but im glad im finally in college... so i hope to hear from you..arile

Dustin asked Josh Walls (the artist)to paint it and gave him all the things I liked and he picked a The Beatles theme and a picture of me. :D It was a surprise. ♥ It is my favorite gift ever.
