Stace Gill is an electro acoustic feast with a sweet tone and a dark twist. Her long awaited first single 'The Turn' is out now, with a new sound and a bold edge.
Today FM's Tony Fenton describes Gill as “one of them rare little gems worth highlighting” and hail her debut The Turn “captivating”. Legendary DJ Tony Fenton awarded her his Daily Download- a very high accolade for an unsigned act. Highlighting the release of her debut THE TURN, Gill is currently receiving support from Regional and National Radio & Press. Gill’s music encapsulates an underground electronica vibe fused with excellently crafted loops, layered with acoustic undertones perfectly accompanied by exquisite harmony lines.
LIMERICK EVENT GUIDE SAYS:
"Stace Gill is a Seasoned performer and Musician and The Turn is her first single release. Her musical experience and confidence is evident, this dreamy electro acoustic gem opens gently but with confidence and is laced with layered vocals, poised with subtle beats and lullaby-esque working of the xylophone carried by string lyrics. Awarded the daily download slot on Tony Fenton's show recently, which is a coup for any unsigned artist, The Turn shows just why Stace is making people sit up and take notice."
Opening with an eerie, jewellery box xylophone loop, "The Turn" by Stace Gill is a tale of uncertain love richly layered with orchestral strings, subdued electro beats and multiple loops of Gill’s own voice. The mix of electro and acoustic sound strikes a clever balance to set the tone of uneasiness in a song concerned with regretful love. Lines such as "I called your name/ I’m afraid I was wrong" complement the music to create an absorbing sense of melancholy that is reminiscent of both Damien rice in his more towering orchestral incarnations and a slightly less melodramatic Bat For Lashes. This coupled with Gill’s clean, siren-like voice and married to dreamy production suggests that with material like this, we can expect good, possibly great things to come from Stace Gill.

Authenticated the old fashioned way, having paid her dues by touring the world over including The USA, Newfoundland, Canada (where she also a guest performed her forthcoming single The Turn on the world known broadcasting channel CBC the turn on their afternoon show), the UK and her homeland of Ireland.
A bit of a double-sided coin however, Gill, whilst maintaining her love and passion for her own music & writing, also reserves it for others too. Moon-shining as an active musician amongst her peers she is also a part time Radio DJ & Events coordinator who promotes various acts and bands. However, for the time being it is looking like it is Stace Gills “Turn” to be in the spot light.
