Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you and yours much anticipation and excitement about things to come. Of which in July, we're expecting a new baby to join us here in Ohio. Stephanie will be 12, Jonathan will be 11, and Nicholas will be starting first grade when he's six.
DH took some classes last summer that may move him into a promotion type thing at work. That would be nice :) More responsibility=More pay.
I'm loving my job in a faraway place. Perfect Job. Perfect Co-workers. I wouldn't want to do anything else!
Brian and I just had an anniversary over Christmas. We had the whole house to ourselves and went out to do fun stuff, too! We enjoyed going out to see Twilight and did lunch out, too. See it if you get the chance. (Now I'm going to have to read the books I got for Steph for xmas!)
I have a great relationship with my kids' dad and his wife (aka Michigan Mom) and we're doing what we can to raise these kids together despite the 3.5 hour car ride apart. I think we're doing ok.
Stephanie is almost 12 now. She is a certified Red Cross Babysitter. She gets all A's in school. She is in the Art Club, the Math Club, Strings, and tutors other kids at school. She just finished reading the Twilight Series series. She only got the four novel sized books fewer than two weeks ago!
Jonathan is 10.5 now. He's getting taller, stronger, calmer, and oh, so handsome! He has a gf in Jackson who plays soccer. He gets mostly A's. He's a sweet boy with a sweet heart and good intentions. We just had his six friends over this past week while he was visiting me in Ohio. It was fun. Dart Tag all over the house. Betcha I'm still finding darts in six months! Oh, and it was safe, it's Nerf, of course.
Nicholas is loving kindergarten this year, he's five and a half now. He sang songs last night for the Christmas show and afterwards was showing his pictures to us. Apparently he's excited about the baby because he's already drawing (him/her/it) in his pictures. How cute! He says he wants to teach it how to swim, slide at the park, be nice, and pet Lacy, our dog. He's doing well with reading. Asking lots of questions about how to spell this or that. Can read Seuss Books, now, too.
