Stacey Piersa was born in Taipei, Taiwan to an American Military father and a Chinese mother. Stacey's music talent developed at an early age of 5 years old when she received her first piano and taught herself how to write basic music notes.
Continuing this natural development, Stacey recorded her first demo tape at the age of 10 years old. She toured all over Washington State with the musical group Broadway Babies and made her first tv appearance as a Guest Composer on the Seattle tv show, "Music Magic".
Stacey was the youngest songwriter at age 12 years old to join BMI. She also appeared on many commericals and tv shows including "Putting on the Kids" and "Star Search".
At age 16, Stacey joined the girl's group "Fierce" that was signed by Clive Davis to Arista Records. It was through this group that Stacey met and started co-writing with Producer Elliot Wolff, (writer/producer of the 1 hits "Straight Up" and "Cold Hearted" for Paula Abdul, Aretha Franklin, Taylor Dayne, Dave Koz, Debbie Gibson, Johnny Gill, Chaka Kahn, Tears For Fears, Ame' Lorain).
Since teaming up with Elliot Wolff, Stacey has co-written the hit song, "I'll Remember You", recorded by Atlantic Starr and "The Earth, The Sun, and The Rain", recorded by Color Me Badd. Which earned Stacey a BMI Pop Award. She then signd a solo deal with Warner Bros. Records that included the single "Not One More Time", which was on the Beverly Hills 90210, The College Years Soundtrack.
Stacey went on to write for artist such as The Corrs, Chynna Phillips, Banig, Mary Wilson, Tommy Page, The Blenders, Paula Abdul, and Mamba. She signed worldwide publishing deals with Chrysalis Music and Peer Music Publishing. She's also worked with many great writers and producers such as Preston Glass, Narada Michael Walden, Chris "Tricky" Stewart and Danielle Brisebois.
Stacey is a classically trained pianist and continues mastering her songwriting talent as well as co-writing with up and coming musical talents.
