My name is Staci Anderson. I grew up in the wonderful town of Champaign, Illinois. A college town with a great local music scene all it’s own but with some Chicago influence as well. I’ve been singing as long as I can remember, but was always too shy to actually sing in front of anyone. I was the girl who cried because I didn’t want to sing in front of my choir class. During my junior year of high school though, I began taking guitar lessons and since then no one has been able to stop me from singing. My first public appearance was at the school talent show in front of nearly 700 people. In 2004 when I was checking out a local band I was introduced to their lead singer, who just happened to be a producer. In 2005 I recorded 6 original songs for my debut ep, Turn Around. In the few years since I’ve been busy playing local shows to help get my name and music out there. Some of my favorite moments include opening for the band The Boat Drunks who have opened for Jimmy Buffett and The Beach Boys, and being one of a select few local acts to be on Krannert Center for Performing Arts compilation CD, Krannert Uncorked. Lately I’ve been back in the studio working on my next CD. So enjoy the latest tracks and feel free to let me know what you think.
Hey, that's ok no worries, I hope everything's going well. I'm doing alright, just getting ready for the holiday and to go start recording. We're gonna do guitars/bass first, then drums and then vocals last. I actually wanted to ask you if you were still up for doing some vocals on it :) We wanted to record a multivoice homophony for our song Walls, and some polyphonic/call and response vocals for another song on there. Sound cool?? :)
