History
Stacksteads Cricket Club was formed at a public meeting held at Stacksteads Workmen's Club on July 29th 1902 with between 250 and 300 people present.
Shortly after the meeting negotiations were completed for a plot of land near Waterbarn Baptist Chapel for use as a Cricket Field and the first annual general meeting of the club took place on February 10th 1903.
The club had quite a successful start and in the early days had two paid professionals who went by the names of Woods and Getrix.
