About me:

I've been a traveler all my life. My grandfather said the travel bug bit me early. I don't think so, but you can never be sure with the stories that granddads think up. I've lived all over the U.S. and Europe. Today, I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I work at the University of Oklahoma and write children's literature. Writing has become the "travel bug" that nibbles at me each day, taking me to places both real and imagined.
The cover on the right is for my upcoming children's picture book, "Dizzy," which is the third in my aquatic series. Between you and me, Dizzy can't sit still. Not for a second. Imagine....
The first book in the series, "Squirt," released June 2005. The second, "Shelby," came out in June 2006. It went on to be a winner in teh Arizona Authors Literary Contest and is currently a finalist in ForeWord magazine's Book of the Year Award. I'm really excited about how well she had done, especially since this is the story of a really shy shark and how she finds her courage.
I've got a middle grade novel coming out in 2008 called "Dragon Wishes." It's really really good. It's got dragons and heroines and magic. I have a hard time leaving that world some days. It's a lot of fun to be in.
