Stacy Sharp grew up on a dairy farm in Lawton, Oklahoma, an hour southwest of Oklahoma City. At the age of 14, she began writing poetry and letters, the subjects of which would eventually find their way into her songwriting.
Stacy explains, "I began to pick up the guitar that my family had given me years before; It felt good to write and play in a way that I was passionate about."
Seeking a fresh start at the age of 20, Stacy moved from Oklahoma to Tennessee and enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University to study Music Business and to pursue her passion for music. Drawing from influences such as Melissa Ethridge and life, Stacy's songs are similarly conceived from those dark intimate places that most people choose to conceal, and she pours her heart and soul into her performances - unselfishly sharing the most intimate parts of herself with her audiences.
Says Stacy, "I aways try to write and perform as someone who knows herself, who is comfortable in her own skin, and who is true to herself. I strive to be someone who actually makes a difference, and I hope that my songs will be remembered for the emotions that they inspire. Music has been the one thing that has always helped me stay true to myself."
Already an accomplished songwriter, Sharp enjoys surrounding herself with equally talented peers, she has shared the stage with singer/songwriter's such as; Jamie & Terri Radcliff, Kristi Neumann, Treva Blomquist, Lindsey Hinkle, Kristy Lee, Stephanie Callahan, Garrison Star, Amy Steinberg, and Sara Lesher to name a few.
