About me:

Stage Stars focus is to create well-rounded professional young performers who use their talents to benefit others. As well as teaching students all areas of the performing arts they teach discipline, respect, professionalism, and benevolence. They pride themselves on their uniqueness from other performing arts programs, their students are prepared for a career in the arts at an early age and also are given performance experiences and life experiences not offered anywhere else. Our staff is a dedicated group of trained artists who continue to work professionally in the industry. Stage Stars is a unique performing arts company located in Highland Park, New Jersey. Company members are from all over the NJ area and are accepted by audition only. They take classes that include tap, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, modern, lyrical, pointe, musical theater, acting, creative writing, song-writing, yoga, voice, improvisation, audition preparation, break dancing, keyboard and guitar. Some of their recent performances include, Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ, Hershey Park, PA, Wildwood, NJ, Walt Disney World, FL, Both the Two Rivers Theater and The Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ, George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ, and at the NYC Dance Parade, NYC Halloween Parade, and various off Broadway venues such as The Producers Club and The Helen Mills Theater. Stage Stars has been featured on many major television stations and web sites. They were most recently seen on CBS 2 on "The Early Show" and performing live in Times Square in New York City. You can see Stage Stars on the NY Daily News web site as well as NBC 4's web site in photos and videos of their Times Square performance. Stage Stars will soon be featured on ABC 7 in a new person of the week feature on the news. Stage Stars has received acclimation from various celebrities such as actress Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order SVU) for their performances "A Joyful Sound" to benefit her Joyful Heart Foundation. The company also received recognition from singer Melanie C (The Spice Girls) for singing one of her original songs "If That Were Me" at charity events to help the homeless. Long before charity work was the "new trend," under the direction of Jamie Marie Hannigan, Stage Stars has helped many charities and organizations. They walked in the Walk for Hope to cure Breast Cancer, The MIPH Walk to end homelessness, as well as performing at their events, and also volunteered to teach dance classes for a girls group at St. Peters Hospital. They also helped charities such as St. Peters Children's Hospital, St. Matthew Food Closet, The Cancer Center at Robert Wood University Hospital, The Joyful Heart Foundation, The MIPH Foundation, and The Make A Wish Foundation, Toys For Tots, Elijah’s Promise, The Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, The Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation & The Jessica Ann Fox Day of Fun, Stage Stars’ new location is dedicated to a dear friend Jessica Ann Fox, and accomplished dancer, Spanish teacher, world traveler, and marathon runner; who at only 36 years old passed away from breast cancer one year ago. You can catch Stage Stars performing at "Arts In The Park" in Highland Park, NJ on September 13th. You can also see them September 19th at the"The 2nd Annual Jessica Fox Day Of Fun" at Middletown High School South in Middletown, NJ which will benefit Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
