Stairwell Above Grey stated with Kelton Kesterson and Jason Dow at first as a "side project", but it soon progressed into a band. With only a few weeks untill recording in Arizona they asked Heather Aradas to sing for them and create the lyrics. They all collaborated very fast and were prepared for recordings.
