I am a devout Christian. My life has had its share of difficulties, but my faith has always helped me every step of the way. Even Christ had to deal with all the suffering of the world, so I always look to His example.
"And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." (Jn.6:39-40)
I am pro-life
I believe in the sanctity of human life. My family raised me to believe this as a Catholic, and I have never stopped finding reasons why this is the correct position. Life is a gift from God, and it is not up to us to decide whether a child should live or die.
People try to manipulate the issue and say pro-lifers are "anti-woman", but abortion isn't a gender issue, it's a human issue. If pro-lifers are anti-women, why are most of the people I see at abortion protests women, and why are so many women involved in the right-to-life movement? When human life is treated like trash, we all suffer, no matter whether we're men, women, children, or preborn children.
I am a proud Italian
As you probably guessed from my name, I'm Italian. My mother's family came to America from Naples, and my father came from several generations of Italian Americans who mostly originated in southern Italy. My Italian heritage is very important to who I am. I guess you could call me a "Goombah" :)
I'm obsessed with Italian culture throughout history, from the Renaissance to modern times, and with the great impact Italians have had on American culture. I haven't been to Italy yet, but I'm definitely going someday. Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that Italian women are the most beautiful women in the world. :)
