Stålverk was started in 1999 by Olle Ohlsson and Jon Perman to release their band Tunic and fellow local Sandviken artists like Incognito Pop, Plankton and Martin Venetjoki. During these almost 10 years, they have put out more than 25 releases and will continue to do so at a mind-blowing pace. Since 2007, their main release channel has been free mp3 releases on the website www.stalverk.se, so far in three beautiful designs by A.Klangbild. Although, they still release a few vinyl records, like the 2008 Tunic album, Sandviken LP. .. .. A new generation of exile-Sandviken musicians have come up during the last years, like Lust, Hedvig Filippa Maria and Eldahid. They share our beliefs in music and humanity and are our family and army. Stålverk believes in making art for the need to express something rather than as a way to gain material advantage our just "have a blast with your friends".
