Anything by Douglas Adams, especially the Dirk Gently books.
A book called Scepticism Inc. by Bo Fowler... It's a satire on religion set in the future, told from the perspective of a conscious supermarket trolley, in which a fanatical agnostic opens a metaphysical betting shop in an old church and challenges all the major religions to 'put their money where their metaphysics are' and bet on beliefs that can never be proved or disproved... They all try and out do each other to demonstrate their true faith, bankrupting themselves in the process and making Edgar the richest man in the world... who then falls in love with the craziest religious fanatic of them all, a girl who tried to assasinate him twice... this book cracks me up! :-D
Heroes
Tony Benn; Thom Yorke; Bill Hicks; Chris Morris; Mark Thomas; Martin Scorsese; Zac de la Rocha; Stephen Fry... & Alastair Campbell (joke... this 'Alpha male' + professional liar personifies all that is wrong with current human evolution in my considered opinion)
I've composed music for visuals in the past and would like to do more of the same. I've also been known to walk in on scenes on cue and blend into the 'background'... for money, naturally.
This year (2008) I conceived, directed and edited a short film / music video for my Origins of Oceania project. This is something I would like to do more of professionally in the future.
