The Standards began in 1983 as a half-serious attempt to bring back good-time Rock 'n' Roll to the Stonehill College Campus. "Dorm Damage", as they were known then, incorporated hits of the 50's through the 80's with the emphasis squarely on fun! Dorm Damage shared the stage with the likes of The Stompers, The Fools, Girl's Night Out, B. Willie Smith and Beaver Brown.
In 1986, upon graduation, guitarist Eric Reinhardt and vocalist Jack Raeke decided to take the show on the road and The Standards were born! Despite the new name, the bottom line was still foot-stomping, hand-clapping Rock 'n' Roll.
Is it Top 40 - No, not really.
Is it an oldies band? - You're getting warmer, but...
Is it a dance-along, sing-along, party with the greatest hits of yesterday and today as the soundtrack? - Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket...
