Hollywood, California’s BLACK VEIL BRIDES have announced that they’ve signed with Standby Records. The band, originally formed in Cincinnati OH in 2006, has already built an incredible following, both domestically as well as internationally. One of the first young bands to truly embrace connecting with their fans through social networking web sites, as well as video sharing sites, BVB already has a loyal and dedicated fan base all over the world. Fan clubs throughout Europe, South America, Asia and Australia, as well as North America have cropped up since the band's inception, based in part on the strength of their dynamic and charasmatic front man, Andy Six.The band's first music video, "Knives & Pens" has already had over 3/4 of a million views in just a little over two months and is one of the most commented rock music videos on all of Youtube.

The band will enter Chin Music Studios in Cleveland,Ohio with Don DeBiase and Johnny Burke (Beneath the Sky, Modern Day Escape, etc.) to record their upcoming full length, due out in early 2010.

Emergency 911 Signs With Standby Records

Northwest Florida based act, Emergency 911, is making fast and long standing footprint in today’s Pop/Electronica scene. Hailing from Pensacola, Florida. this one-man act seemingly appeared over night and wasted no time spreading his musical message to the world. Austin McDonald, the brainchild of Emergency 911, formed the project early-July of 2009 and has received enormous amounts of feedback since. “I was truly shocked at how quickly everything took off,” comments McDonald, “I set out to form a style of Nintendo based Electronica music for fun, and everyone online just ate it up!” With the ever growing and immense selection of music available through our digital age these days, it’s easy for listeners to get lost or besieged simply due to the vast amount that exists to hear. However, Austin McDonald, and his work with Emergency 911, proves to stand up against the challenge and successfully make a positive impression on thousands of kids worldwide.

In addition to McDonald’s extremely large amount of online trafficking, and already devoted fan base, he has several up and coming nationwide tours that will only help further promote his project.

Standby Record’s owner Neil Sheehan commented, “I’ve followed Austin in other bands and always liked his work ethic and his music. While the so called scene is saturated with the auto tune, electro sound I found Austin’s new project Emergency 911 to be fun and different. It coupled the ‘nerdcore’ image and Nintendo sound. We don’t sign what is hot, we sign what we like and when we played it for the staff we knew we had something that we liked and was different.”

“It really didn’t take much deciding at all,” McDonald expresses, “I had already received offers from other labels, but Neil’s been by my side even through previous groups that I’ve played with. Why wouldn’t I want to sign to a label that already felt like family?”

E911 is scheduled to release their debut LP entitled, “Sky Harbor” in mid-November of this year.

Standby Records Signs Vegas Masquerade

Kinston, North Carolina based Southern Rock/Metal outfit Vegas Masquerade have announced that they have signed with Cleveland, OH based Standby Records. Band member Matt Dixon commented, “After some offers from other labels we decided to sign to Standby because we like what the label had to offer and were excited that we have found a home in a label that will work just as hard for us as we will for them.”

The band will release their upcoming EP titled “Don’t Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight” on November 11, 2009. “What sets us apart in the southern rock metal scene is very simple. We are a group of guys from North Carolina who like to play music for the blue collar man. We don't follow what’s hot in the music scene or claim to be the next big thing. People like us because we are real to what we write and sing about, “ Dixon remarked.

Neil Sheehan, Standby’s owner, commented, “It took one time, one time listening through this EP and I called the guys. I wanted to know the story and why the hell they weren’t picked up already. After talking to the guys and playing the EP for the staff we knew we had something solid. This isn’t metal core, this isn’t screamo, this isn’t crunk; its real southern music with hint of metal. If it sells 1 copy or 1 million copies, it’s from the heart and it’s not being written by a bunch of guys that will do anything to make it. They make music that is real for their own enjoyment. It is rare you get a group of guys that do what they want to do, how they want to do it and are great at what they do. I’m just glad we found them."

Standby Records Signs Castle Grayskull

West Virginia''s Castle Grayskull have announced that they've signed to Standby Records! The metal/hardcore act formed in January of 2008 and have since been working to build a strong regional fanbase by playing constant live shows and on the strength of their EP, which they recorded with Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack, etc.) When asked about signing with Standby, keyboardist Nolan commented, "We started casually shopping ourselves online, but we weren't really sure where it was going to go. Standby showed interest in us and after a few conversations, we headed up to Cleveland to meet them. They were all really friendly, honest, and straight forward, which really helped us feel at home with them as a label. We're excited to get out on the road and to have a record out in stores. There haven't been very many bands from West Virginia to accomplish that so it's a big feat for us."

Standby Records Signs Return From Exile

California based metal act Return From Exile have announced their signing with Standby Records! The Ohio based label that has nearly doubled in size in the past few months added the band to their roster on the strength of a recently self released Consumed EP. “We had been actively seeking a label and Standby came around at the perfect time, this just worked out for us. Standby Records Signs Destruction Of A Rose

Melodic metal band DESTRUCTION OF A ROSE, hailing from Las Vegas, NV has announced that they have signed with Standby Records! The band was recently featured in Hails and Horns magazine as their featured unsigned band, and was also one of the unsigned bands of the month in Alternative Press issue 248, who said of the band “Destruction of a Rose are a double-bass-pounding metal machine, effortlessly jumping between old-school Pantera-style trash and modern metalcore”. When asked about signing with Standby Records, guitarist Gordon Lamont commented, “We had several offers on the table, but felt like Standby was the right label for us.
