We'd really like to thank everyone who came down to see us at satans last night, and extra special thanks to the John Player Specials, Kickback and Harijan for support.
Funds are slowly collecting for our album, and songs are quickly taking shape.

14/02/08 New songs, gigs and recording!
Hello! It has been a long time since we have updated you all. First of all we are currently writing, polishing and re-working some songs for the album which is likely to be recorded in June with the lovely TiMG.
We have some gigs coming up soon and it'd be great to see some of you down there. We are playing the Bomb Ibiza SkaBar at the end of the month, but if you can't wait for then you can see Francis doing his thang on the Reel Big Fish / Streetlight tour with Sonic Boom Six! You can expect some new band pictures soon too. It'd be great if all of those who have a facebook could search for Stand Out Riot and add us, Myspace seems to be dying a slow death...

After a fantastic summer break, the SOR are back in action, and preparing for a hectic Autumn gig schedule.

In gigging terms, we're all taking a bit of a break, for holidays, exams and other such exciting exploits. Despite this, we have been practicing hard, and have written 3 brand new songs, which will soon become a feature of our live performance.

At long last we have 300 copies of
SOR vs. The Oxbridge Mafia, and they will be on sale at every gig from now on, for £3.
A massive thanks goes out to Tim at Inch Studios for making this CD as good as it possibly could be.
In other news, we have a selection of new badges, and a new website and t-shirts on the way.

4/3/07 Latest...
We are sorry to say that SOR is now only a 7 piece after Sarah decided to call it a day. We will miss her input and wish her all the best. There is a slight delay on the new EP's due to artwork but we should be getting them very soon now. We have a packed month this March so make sure you come and see us play. We look forward to seeing your lovely faces soon.

18/12/06 NEW EP RECORDED
Fantastic weekend with the fantastic TiMG of Inch Studios.
A couple of tracks from the 3 we recorded will be up here around the end of January. A couple of weeks ago, we played the Bomb Ibiza Xmas Karaoke, which was a fantastic success, and lots of money was raised for two wonderful charities. Thanks to everyone who turned up and sang!
20/11/06 WOW! The Albert Hall was a night to remember. Amazing.
Anyway, in real news; The SOR are preparing for some hard practise, with a December recording session booked, and the BI Punk Rock Karaoke drawing ever closer.
The working title of the new EP is 'Stand Out Riot vs. The Oxbridge Mafia', and all songs have now been written.
05/11/06 With a mere 10 days to go before the SOR perform at the
Royal Albert Hall, we're squeezing in some last minute practise at our whopping 8 minute set. The details of if and when it'll appear on TV will be publicised, when we know them. In other news, all of our merch is selling like hot cakes, and so if you want a t-shirt, or one of the remaining copies of FFF, you'd better get your skates on.
08/10/06 A new wave of SOR merch will soon be arriving, beginning with some new t-shirts from the lovely folk at ShirtySomething. These shirts will feature the Mr Lightbulbhead logo, will come in 3 colours (Black, Blue & Green), a full range of sizes (including girl size) and will be available at all SOR gigs, for the small price of £7

Well... to some up the last few months, of which we have been website-less, the SOR won the '
Outstanding Performance Award' at the NFMFY Rock & Pop competition, and have gained a slot on the BBC School's Prom at the
Royal Albert Hall !
In other news, the band are currently writing a new set of songs, in the midst of members moving out, for University. At least a couple of these new tunes will be ready for gigging very soon.
