    Stand Up Against Heart Crime began in 2009 as a bedroom project with Josep Xortó composing and producing dreamy lo-fi, synthwave tunes in the comfort of his house in London. Shortly after, teaming up with Arnau Obiols (who is also member of Television Personalities), Mikel Mestres and Jordi Moraleda they publish their first self-entitled demo "Stand Up Against Heart Crime". In the summer of 2010, Diesel selects the single "A Hundred Lovers", mastered by Robert Harder, for a worldwide campaign distributed via their website. The single is published under the name of "Josep" by Anomaly. This same summer, Josep and Arnau participated in the film directed by Alexandra McGuiness "Lotus Eaters", in which "A Hundred Lovers" is incorporated into the soundtrack. The full-length feature film will premiere later on this year. At the end of 2010, Stand Up Against Heart Crime migrates back to its native Mediterranean shores, Barcelona, so as to prepare their first album. Almost immediately they bring talented visual producer, Borja Lee Voyeur on board, bringing an added dimension to their live set. and also adding Adex Izquierdo (Der Ventilator) instead of Mikel on guitar. Stand Up Against Heart Crime have recently been recording their first single as a full band at Sarm Studios, London, in July 2011. To round off the summer they opened for Crocodiles as they toured through Spain playing top clubs such as Razzclub when it was packed. The band is now fully based in Barcelona, preparing songs for the release of their first LP.
