SUFYB is a site for music fans, street teamers, and rad kids. SUFYB is meant to promote activism, awareness, and tolerance.
IT IS TIME TO BREAK THE SILENCE. IT IS TIME TO BE HEARD. IT IS TIME TO STAND UP.
And for the music...
SUFYB: It's about the music. Not the hair cuts. I'ts about the guitar techs, not the groupies. It's about the sound, not the silence.
We want to offer a place void of ignorant journalism, obnoxious interviewers, and greedy "industry" people. We want to shed light on the truth and stand up for our favorite bands. Granted, the industry will always have a degree of corruption, but we want to make a change, even if it is small. For example, we want journalists to stop pigeon-holing bands into the trendy and go-to "EMO" category. We want people to have the ability to see the other side of music. The side that gives people a reason to live, and a reason to rock their faces off. We want to show people a different perspective. We want to fight against racism, sexism, and homophobia in the music "scene". We want to promote bands, and show people what they are all about, from our point of view.
FTW?:Recently we've been seeing a lot of ignorant and lazy journalism, offering completely ridiculous, cautionary opinions, written by a middle-aged soccer moms who have never even listened to a single note; rather, the second they see the eyeliner, they sound the alarms. That, my friends, is bullshit. And that, is what we are here to stop. Mainly, we are here, to stand up for what we believe in.
