Moved to Boston,graduated from the New england Conservatory with a jazz piano and Oboe degree..Mentors there included Jaki Byard,George Russell,Thad Jones,John Lewis,Kenny Dorham,Bob Brookmeyer,Frank Foster,Gerry Mulligan,Cecil Mcbee,Buell Neidlinger Tom Mckinley and more..
