From a young age, Stan and his brother Dan wanted nothing more than to be in a band and meet Heather Locklear. Growing up they heard their mother's Country collection and (on his occasional flying visits) their father's love of rockabilly and rock and roll.
Although the brother's attendance record at Lyndon B. Johnson High was patchy, it was here they met Jimmy Green and a firm friendship and love for the burgeoning 80's hard rock scene was forged.
Run-ins with the law were not uncommon for the brothers, especially Stan, and it was during one of his short stints in the County lock-up he resolved to make something of his earlier dreams.
Borrowing instruments from friends and with some hastily scraped together funds (legally, we hasten to add!) they recorded a rough demo in Dan's trailer.
Who knows what the future will bring for this trio of reformed ne'erdowell's? Fame? Fortune? A new screendoor for the trailer? Maybe even a chance encounter with Ms. Locklear.
Maybe. Maybe not.
This dog house here is mighty small
But it's sure better than no house at all
So ease it on over
Drag it on over
Move over cold dog cause a hot dog's moving in
I know you like a bit of metal on the side so, may I urge you search iTunes for The Locust's version of 'Flash.' It's about 50 seconds long and fucking funny.
