This is my personal tribute to one of the greatest musician, artist, writer/poet, peacemaker, freedom fighter, and all of that and more! this man inspired more musicians than anyone else in all time on this planet. He inspired; sax players, keyboardist, percussionist, vocalist, guitar players, bass players and many other instrumentalist! even violinist, other horn players as well, and he also brought the whole cool thang to the game! dressing cool and moving cool. Jimi Hendrix should always be honored for his love and understanding, his artistry, his philosophy and his legacy of music that he left to the world. Hey Jimi? "You were like crazy horse"
Born and raised on Chicago's southside, Stan began singing and dancing at the age of five. When he was eight, Stan taught himself how to play drums and bass guitar, being inspired by the beats of James Brown's music. Stan first heard the music of Jimi Hendrix on Sept. 18,1970. Older brother Calvin brought home the classic (Band of Gypsys) and (Are You Experienced) albums. Ever since then it's been one hell of a music journey...
Stan Skibby, has multiple talents including playing drums, keyboards, bass and guitars. He is an excellent vocalist, songwriter, dancer and actor. A natural leader and a true Love Souldier, Stan respects all people. Highly respected within Chicago, Indiana, Illinois and Polands music community.
Stan Skibby is a most serious, colorful and versatile artist who is destined for broader recognition. Skibby wants to share his love for music with the world in whole.

One of Skibby's greatest dreams came true when he played with Hendrix's bassist, Billy Cox at the 1995 Hendrix birthday tribute at Buddy Guy Legends. Skibby has toured Poland nine (9) times giving tribute to his fallen hero Jimi Hendrix, from year 2000 to 2007. This is his tribute to Hendrix on myspace.
