Blessed with the unique ability to perform at the highest musical level of various genres, Stan has had the privilege of working with some of the world's great musicians and performers. Among them: Wynton Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Dave Brubeck, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Savannah Symphony, Knoxville Symphony, Yes, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Jon Faddis, Kathleen Battle, Bennie Carter, Joe Williams, Lionel Hampton, Richard Smallwood, James Moody, Ben Riley, Donald Brown, and Gary Thomas to name a few. As a soloist, he has toured throughout the United States and Europe. Twice, he was invited to perform for the inaugural ceremonies of the President of The United States.

The Savannah, GA native received his Master of Music degree in Classical Trombone Performance from The Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore MD, where he also spent several years on the jazz studies faculty. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from The Florida State University in Tallahassee.
While maintaining an extremely busy performance and recording schedule over the past few years, Wilkerson was also on the music faculties of Peabody Conservatory, Morgan State University, and Goucher College in Baltimore, MD.
Stan resides in Tampa, Florida with his beautiful and talented wife, Jill, and their two lovely daughters, Kelly and Courtney. He is currently serving as Worship Arts Pastor at Bethel Church.
