Stanza 2004-2007
We are currently on Hiatus as Ryan and Jiz are living in different cities(and islands), when they comeback on holidays we may still play shows but no guarantees. Kaine and Dan can now be seen in The Deer In Your Headlights.
"That was awesome, the only things weird were Ryan's movements and Dan's shorts"
In poetry, a stanza is a unit within a larger poem. A small piece of a puzzle which connects with others to create a larger, greater picture. Something that can only be truly understood with all parts. Stanza, the band, take these theories and apply them to music. Never staying in one theme the songs progress through tangents and transitions covering many styles while doing so. The band is made up of Ryan Christiansen (vocals), Kaine Harington (guitar), Daniel Page (bass) and Jordan Jak (drums). The members all aim for excellence on their given instruments, meaning Stanza have a large focus on powerful instrumentation. The sound is low, powerful, melodic and groove orientated. Formed in late 2004 by a group of friends with a passion for music. Stanza has come a long way in a short time. With each band practice, the band leaves knowing alot has been done, but still alot more work to do. Stanza have played a few small gigs (the biggest being 600+ people), all of which have been complemented for their stage presence and tightness. Stanza are always expanding their setlist and writing new material so each gig is better than the last! So Far Stanza Has Shared The Stage With: Stylus, Slipping Tongue, Fideleo, 5Star Fallout, Rival State, Harvest and more
