What is consistency? What is the principal behind an ideal or movement that spurs one to continue pressing onward or forward? From 2003 - 2006, the heavy, progressive rock band Staple toured relentlessly; encapsulating who they were with absolute clarity. Consistent. Constant. Unwavering. Staple has toured with bands including Demon Hunter, Disciple, The Showdown, Chasing Victory, Spoken, Kids In The Way, and Pillar, boasting a steady barrage of shows that totaled over 200 dates a year. Significant accomplishments include two national albums on Flicker Records - the second, "Of Truth and Reconciliation" with renowned producer Sylvia Massey (Tool, Sevendust, System of a Down, Showbread), music released on MTV's popular reality series "Road Rules", a music video with acclaimed director Shane Drake (Panic At the Disco, Paramour, Dead Poetic), and over 20,000 records sold worldwide.
Staple's impetus, vision, and purpose was rooted in the belief that absolute truth exists, and that the hand print of the creator rests on each of its principals. That the pursuit of it, and it's indwelling within the heart is the one constant necessary for a fulfilling survival. Now, in 2009, Staple has re-emerged with several new members, but the same focus in mind. On the brink of releasing a new EP entitled "The Gatekeeper", Staple stands poised and ready to unveil a new chapter in the quest to see God, truth, and themselves more clearly.
Thanks for the awesome show at The Attic on Friday! The New lineup seems pretty solid (especially with John on board, haha). Your friends in Red Morning Voyage put on a very good show, as well. I had never heard them before and after that show, I became a fan. Both RMV and Staple seemed to put a lot of effort into your performance despite the lack of attendance and I am very grateful for that!
