With the alchemy of two amazing and distinctly different songwriters, Starboard Morning's music can be as refreshing as a cool drink on a hot summer night, or as rowdy as a kick to the chest. The gorgeous ease with which these four boys have blended beautiful, poignant, and poetic songwriting with powerful, sweeping indie rock, feisty Irish pub songs, Americana, and outlaw country is a testament to the chemistry of the best of friends, as well as that of a father and his son.
With loads of new material, the boys have finally released their 3rd album, "Ballyutogue". This will be their first album with drummer John Hoagland, and the first ever recorded with all the members actually living in the same city. The energy, excitement, and anticipation is palpable. As the lyric from their title song goes;
“So I pray to the Lord once more,
As the sandpaper strikes the sulphur,
But I’ll be damned if I walk out of here without burning you down”
So goes the raw power, energy, and beauty of Starboard Morning.
