Quem curte britpop de qualidade já deve ter ouvido falar do Starfish 100. Os indies do Starfish surpreendem pelo som bem feito, guitarras afiadas no melhor estilo rock and roll da terra dos Beatles e Oasis, influências assumidíssimas pela banda, que também flerta com My Bloody Valentine, Stone Roses e afins. As músicas em inglês impecável são garantidas pelo vocalista alemão Demys Scnheider, que criou a banda em meados de 2001. Desde então, a banda virou figurinha assídua do circuito alternativo paulistano, lotando casas do reduto rocker, como Funhouse, Outs, CB, Vegas e Inferno.Em festivais já participou do famoso Demo Sul. Alternativos, mas já causam algum falatório na imprensa musical, o jornalista Adriano Moralis da Muzplay afirma que não seria surpresa se a banda fosse capa da próxima NME; a revista Zero definiu 'Starfish 100, a melhor banda 'Inglesa' do Brasil ; Humberto Finatti, jornalista da Rolling Stone disse que o Starfish 100 é, de fato, um dos grandes nomes do indie guitar rock brasileiro atual. Agora em seu terceiro cd, 2007, o Starfish inova ao introduzir músicas em português, que mantêm o primor das guitarras dos discos anteriores, agora aliadas a letras melódicas e fáceis de cantar, tornando impossível não sair as cantarolando por aí.

Anyone who has a taste for quality indie guitar rock should check out the band starfish100. The indie guys of starfish100 surprise listeners with great songs, edgy guitars influences by some classics of britpop such as Beatles, Stone Roses and My Bloody Valentine etc.Originally only playing in english recently the band even started to write some songs in portuguese also. On main vocals are Demys Schneider (guitars) and Angelo Bijelli (guitars ) and on bass Neo and drums Alexorbit. The band started in the early 2001 when Demys decided to start a band with english influences in Sao paulo.after looking around for some time he finally found in Angelo, Neo and Andre the perfect partners in crime and the four started making plans for recording. The initial response was so positive that soon they were working on their 2 nd and 3rd album. Hi, greetings and thanks for the interest and the add. I like the stuff you have here. Superb taste. I thought you might like to know that I have posted a couple of new fusion mixes you may well like. We cutt up, bash up and smashing around the likes of Coldplay, Kraftwerk, Leona Lewis, Rhianna, Pixies, Gallows and Muse. New up is a mix featuring New Order and Jeff Buckley and Coldplay and Les Rythmes Digitales. I have also taken a bit of Leona Lewis, the new queen of R&B in our book and a bit of Gnarls Barkley, shaken it all up, stuck a bomb under it and boomshaka we have something to mess with your grey cells. I have given you a sneak preview below. Another than has gone up is a radical combo of Rihanna with a dollop of Peter, Bjorn and John. There are other fresh mixes featuring Coldplay and Kraftwerk.
