Stark is the brainchild of Natasha Stark (vocals/Lyrics) and Georgeyo (Production/keyboards).
Natasha Stark comes from a classically trained background and after singing for four years with the jazz-funk band 'Blueprint' she began writing with various dance music producers, such as breakbeat artists 'Breeder' and house producers Steve Jones and Ricky Simmonds of 'The Space Brothers'.
Georgeyo has been producing music with various artists for over 12 years working with Charlie Dark, amongst others, on an Attica Blues remix for King Britt Presents.
During the mid nineties, Georgeyo produced backing tracks for upcoming and signed artists for their stage shows and eventually created his own unique sound. Travelling the world he developed a wide variety of musical interests, giving him the opportunity to work with world musicians from as far a field as Peru, Japan and Europe. He has also worked on projects based on Brazilian and Capoeira music.
Georgeyo has also been involved in score and soundtrack composition for various short films and is now focused on a fusion of Urban Jazz, Hip hop, and Electronica, avenues of which he has a working team of Artists and musicians called The Wah Wah Collective.
As part of the Wah Wah Collective, Georgeyo garnered widespread acclaim for the double-sider 'Everytime' / 'Prying Eyes' (performed by Abdul Shyllon and Angiee respectfully), from Jazz FM, Soul 24-7.com, Kiss FM (London) and many other nu-soul DJ's across the globe....
A mutual appreciation of each others music was realised whilst working together within The Wah Wah Collective where Georgeyo and Natasha's collaboration 'Stark' was born.....
----------------------------------------
"They’ve raised the bar with ‘Damage’. The original version mixes jazzy downtempo vibes with Ms. Stark’s sultry vocals. The ‘Damage’ is in the dark lyrics and the phrasing reminds me of Soft Cells’ ‘Torch’....It’s amazing how all this cross-musical fertilisation in the Aaron Jerome remix produces something extra special. Described as a mix of Carl Craig and Herbert, it’s quite rightly made Phonica’s Essential list"- Gerry Hectic, Fly Music.
------------------------------------------
"Imagine Koop, Zero 7 and Madlib on one piece of wax and you're close to the cinematic nujazz beatscapes they create"- Djouls, TruThoughts.

"Narita/Would You is the second release from the impressive Futuristica Music label and provides a glimpse into the range of artists the label boasts. Natasha Stark, vocalist and songwriter with producer Georgeyo from the Wah Wah Collective, make what I like to call "music to think to." Georgeyo's softly layered, airy sounds are the perfect compliment to Stark's soft and breathy vocals. Aptly compared to Koop and Zero 7, Stark stands to gain a healthy listening audience of folks wanting quality vocal nu jazz. A special treat on this single, Nostalgia 77's remix of Narita--lovely!" - About.com

Yes, we're back for another raucous round of Pin Up! This March, we're proud to bring you the incredible record spinning talents of The Idjut Boys, the earth shattering spectacle that is Geoff Leopard - live - (the all-female five piece that are still learning how to play their instruments). Plus, full musical support provided by the usual suspects; Casey Thundertone and The J&D Sessions. Bestival favourites Lost & Found return to host their 'knob Karaoke'. We all get to bastardise the lyrics of our favourite ballads, all over again. Yes, ‘love’ becomes ‘knob’ for one night only...and just for the record, my knob is higher than a mountain. Neil Edwards is back performing his close-up magic throughout the evening – David Blaine style. Plus, there will be more action going on in the cinema, diner, and no doubt everywhere else. Last month at our anti-valentine’s day special, a stray bra and torn pair of panties were handed in to the management. Both items have been sent off for DNA analysis and we will be awarding a prize to the owner (s) at a future event. The last Pin Up was a sell out, so please, to avoid disappointment, get your tickets early at: http//:www.wegottickets.co.uk/event/16432 Nice, like Chicken & Rice, The Pin Up Management.

so many of you still rocking singledom! As there was such a big turn out to
our riotous, anti-valentines night bash, it only seems fair we award two of

If this is you in one of the photos on our page or one of your rock star buddies,
then the Pin Up management want to hear from you at info@wearepinup.com. Our
February Pin Up 'King' & 'Queen' will receive free entry to this month's
event, accompanied by a guest of their choice.
