Starko are a five piece that were formed in Leicester in the spring of 2005 by a group of friends that were sick and tired of hearing the same worn out bilge coming from the bands of the time. The band members have varied music tastes, which quickly became evident in their music.
With the loss of one of their members in early 2007, Starko were forced to reinvent themselves and in doing so found themselves a new, distinctive sound that can only be described as Indie/Electro/Power Ballads.
With a string of gigs about to commence in the big smoke (linked with fierce panda) the future’s looking bright for our five Leicesterian Heroes. So in the words of our peroxide haired, denim wearing, doc martin stomping beauty;
