Our programs are geared toward seriously ill children and include:
Community events and outings for children and their families, which give families a chance to have fun together away from the hospital so they can relax, regroup and return home with a renewed sense of strength and hope.
Playrooms and special events designed to ease the loneliness, fear and boredom that accompany long hospital stays. Starlight Starbright has built more than 60 children’s playrooms and teen lounges in hospitals nationwide that provide children with an inviting place to play, relax and connect.
Technology-based programs that help kids fill the long hours with fun, and stay connected to their friends, keep up with school work and chat with other seriously ill children.
Educational programming via CDs, DVDs and the Internet that helps sick children understand common hospital procedures and manage illnesses such as cancer, sickle cell anemia, cystic fibrosis, asthma, IBD and kidney disease.

About me: For 25 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions by providing education, entertainment and family events that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.
We understand what families go through when a child is sick, and how important it is to find relief from constant worry and isolation. Our programs are designed to distract children from their pain, help them better understand and manage their illnesses, and connect families with others facing similar challenges to create a community of caring so they never feel alone. In the Spotlight:
A Word from Corbin Bleu: Starlight's New National Spokesperson.
My life has undergone monumental changes in the past few years. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I have been fortunate, beyond what words can describe.
But there is nothing I am more thankful for than my health, and the health of my family and friends.
I am all too aware that there are millions of young people around the country who are not as fortunate. Whether sidelined by an injury, or fighting against a disease, any child who is in the hospital is dealing with issues that even adults have trouble coping with. They may be confused and frightened by what’s going on around them, and they are most certainly overwhelmed. Kids are out of their element, and looking for a way to reconnect to the lives they had, before they were sick.
To say that Starlight changes lives is an understatement. This organization has done so much to give children battling illnesses a touchstone to their previous lives, and gives them a security blanket to hold onto during their toughest times.
At the same time, the programs offered by Starlight are educational, and give kids relatable, easily-understood background on what’s going on with their bodies, and gives them hope. Each game, movie, and video gives them insight that is proven effective during their stressful times.
I’m proud to work with Starlight, and bring a spotlight to the amazing work that they do.

hello~my new Friends! Sunshine for you I am glad, many thanks for the new Friendship I wish a Happy Great Fun Week ~ Love greetings music greetings from my home StudioEmM~ROMAN AMADEUS*
I cannot thank you enough for your kind support and friendship! Welcome to our ever growing family of friends. I'm really happy you have decided to become friends of the Wake Up (to child abuse) MySpace Music page. Just by adding us to your friends you have already demonstrated that you have a good heart and are willing to take a step towards ending the hidden suffering of so many.
We also dare to hope you will be able to persuade some of your other MySpace friends to join our just fight against child abuse by adding us to their friends too. The larger our family of friends becomes, the more people we will be able to reach and educate about this terrible ‘disease’ sweeping across the world which blights the lives of more children than you may imagine. Please take a moment to read some of the statistics on child abuse highlighted on our profile and within our blogs. I am sure you will be just as shocked and appalled as we are when you find out the full extent of this scourge.
The innocent children suffering such terrible abuse need all the help they can get. Increased awareness of this foul concealed crime will help to prevent more children living through the agonising torment which I was forced to experience.
I hope you have a great day and look forward to hearing from you soon with your views and comments on this important issue,
Thank you, Starlight Children's Foundation. I am very much aware and appreciate of the outstanding work that you do on behalf of children. I have known this for many years, decades in fact. I would sincerely like to thank my Top Friend, Ms. Chloe Jordache for suggesting you and your organization to me. Ms. Chloe has wisdom and social awareness and inner, innate kindness, to a highly developed degree. Usually, when she suggest something to me, I quickly try to accomodate her because I like her instincts and good judgement.
Thank you! I will return. Let me know how I may help you. I don't have a huge amount of Friends; however the small circle of global Friends that I do have are highly supportive and totally in sync with the interests of our team.
I have many sites here on the myspace network and multiple sites on the Google YouTube network.
