Formed in Janurary 2007 with nothing to lose.
For the past couple of months Mike has been going to open mics in Buffalo. Eventually he was offered to play a show at Nietszche's, so he decided to start Starlit City. Since the first show went so well Mike and the band decided to keep it going.
Mike has been playing in bands since he was a freshman in high school. He has traveled all the way from New York City to the west coast down to the deep south and has gained great experience along the way. With his experience and persona, Mike makes a great leader. Along with Starlit City, he currently plays in a blues band with his father and two brothers. During the day, Mike general manages the IHOP on Maple Ave. Stop in and have a pancake or two!
Rob (Animal), is the concrete of the band. His drums have come a long way by self teaching. Starting at the age of 16, because his mother always thought the drummer was the coolest in a band, he hasn't slowed down one bit. During the day, Rob masters the kitchen line at Brennan's Bowery Bar, in Clarence, NY.
TJ is the newest addition the the starlit family. TJ is a professional musician who has spent the last few years touring the country, playing in various bands. His attitude about music can be best summed up with his mantra, "substance over style" and his on-stage antics keep everyone on their toes. Look for him on youtube and you can see for yourself.
Steve, the band's youngest member, plays bass. Steve has played in various bands in the last few years and has crafted a signiture sound blending rootsy finger stylings with a touch of slap for a kick. Steve has a variety of influences from the Killers to the Resurrectors making him a perfect fit for Starlit.
