STARROY IS A BAND !!! Centered in the heart of the Midwest, only a stones throw away from the home of the blues, and a quick nap from the land of country. Deeply rooted in the mud of the soulful delta & fixed by the funk & groove of the big easy… Some would say you're a product of your environment. With that in mind, Starroy doesn't fall too far from the tree!!! This well traveled four-piece delivers its own mixture of Country- Fried, Psychedelic, ROCK ‘n' ROLL nightly.
On the verge of nationwide exposure, Starroy has consistently toured 12 states, 50+ cities, and sees the likes of stages both big & small. Performing 100+ official dates in 2006, and putting in 70+ official dates in 2005, the band felt it due time to construct a record for the public. Starroy has survived the last 2 years solely on live recordings & the creditable reputation of being the hardest working/touring band in Arkansas. In December of 2006, the band finished production of a highly anticipated full length studio release entitled – “Ocho For Willow”. The album was recorded over a 7 month period (June – December 2006) in Nashville, TN, at Fox Mountain Studios by Engineer Brad Vosburg (Meat Puppets – “Too High to Die”). It is a collection of acoustic, instrumental, & all of the good ol' rock ‘n' roll tracks the band is so well known for live. The CD was released on NYE of 2007, and began airplay in the NE Arkansas listening areas the following week. Ocho For Willow will be stretching it's legs throughout the coming year. Likewise, look for Starroy in music venues across the US in support of - OCHO FOR WILLOW.
ROLL ON INTO 2008 ::Starroy has currently finished a full year supporting OCHO FOR WILLOW - and has currently begun pre-production on the upcoming record (*no due date to date). The band has seen both pleasure & pain this past year with the NYE eve release of OCHO FOR WILLOW, to sponsorships with Mackie, Eminence, Moolon, Matchless, & many other well named endorsees... to their high hoped NW tour turning black in the the NW region of Seattle, WA... - the band was stopped in their tracks when thieves stole the bands trailer, and gear while on tour in the burbs of Seattle.
Regaining their composure and drive, the band has pulled together the pieces that made the band stand out from so many other bands on the run - Starroy's live show. After a few fundraisers, donations, and borrowing gear from friends and family; the band was able to finish out the remainder of the NW tour. From Starroy-designed tattoos to street teams putting up posters... the band has successfully started a network of friends from coast to coast. 2008 is going to be another year full of playing music for new friends, at new venues, and in new towns.

"Hailing from the unlikely berg of Jonesboro, Ark.,
comes groovy college funk -pop five -piece Starroy,
who may fit into the jam band world but sound
much more like a reincarnated Blind Melon than
anything PHISH-y."
