ATTENTION EVERYBODY!!!
I have debated how to mention this on my myspace page, and even whether to mention it at all, but the time has come when I need to share this news with you: I am battling breast cancer.
Fortunately the outlook for my full recovery is very good. Unfortunately, however, my health does require that I stop doing charts for people until further notice.
If you have made an inquiry about chart work within the past month or so and haven't heard back, I apologize. I am attempting to respond to each request personally but I also wanted to post this information here on my profile page and in a blog entry so that all of my friends will know what is going on and why you may not have heard back from me in as timely a fashion as is my norm.
Meanwhile, with the amazing and unshakeable support I've received from everyone at TAPS Paramagazine my column "Starry Beth Says" is continuing without interruption.
I look forward to a return to the full scope of my astrological work after my battle to return to full health is successfully won. Meantime, please feel free to continue to send me messages, comments and friend requests. I check my page as often as I'm able and even if I'm slower than usual in responding I still very much appreciate and enjoy all of my myspace friendships.

About me:

I am a professional astrologer who has been reading charts, teaching, writing and enjoying astrology for over 30 years. I taught myself from books in the 70s and later obtained my certificate and then my professional level diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies, London. I also have my professional level certificate from Professional Astrologers, Inc., and in 2002 I was honored to be awarded Lifetime membership in the American Federation of Astrologers.
I've written for lots of magazines including American Astrology (now Horoscope Guide), The Mountain Astrologer, Dell Horoscope, Considerations, Dell Purse Books and many others, and I'm the author of four books. I was the North American tutor for the Faculty of Astrological Studies for 16 years and the director of AFA's Data Exchange Dept for 17 years.
Now I write an astrological column called "Starry Beth Says" for TAPS Paramagazine. The magazine was founded by the stars of the Sci Fi Channel's television series "Ghost Hunters" and every month it takes an intelligent look at all kinds of areas of the paranormal. I'm proud to be part of the TAPS Paramagazine team!
I am also co-author of the Sun Sign report in The American Federation of Astrologers' monthly FREE e-newsletter. You can subscribe absolutely free to receive it and along with my column each month there are a bunch of great articles and other material of interest to astrologers and those interested in metaphysical topics.
